Delfin Group USA may be new to the Lowcountry, opening its doors back in 2008, but the facility located on the Cooper River has over a hundred years of community involvement. Delfin employees believe giving and serving in local charities is extremely important especially with the current financial crisis in America, natural disasters causing families to lose everything, and even the recent tragedies in our schools, it’s important to give back. Delfin Group USA hasn’t been without its crisis’s this year but under new management business has started to bounce back and the future looks bright. When asked about what has kept Delfin together through these difficult times, Delfin attributed it to a positive attitude and strong Lowcountry values.
In December 2012, Delfin Group USA and its employees allotted that positive attitude and values to a local youth center. The Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) is a local non-profit organization that has ministered to children of the Lowcountry since 1790. Jessica Clevenger, HR Manager at Delfin Group USA, took on the task of spreading the word and organizing the donations that were given by Delfin employees. “It was encouraging to see the support from our team, especially when given a short notice”, said Jessica. “People took time to shop for the kids as well, rather than just giving a few dollars.”
The Carolina Youth Development Center is located in North Charleston, SC and is always accepting donations.
